By now, January should be full of those good intentions and monumental changes we imagined through the last months of 2018. We imagine everything will be better when the New Year comes.
There is an ancient proverb that says,
“One will only continue to do what can be incorporated into daily life.”
-
If you are a dominant person, you won’t read much more of this, having already accomplished the work wanted without much thought except just do it.
-
If you are a people person, you may resist making goals, plans and following through because you can’t remember if goals written for last year and finding them would be a challenge.
-
Another person would get friends together and see what they are doing before sharing your ideas of things written down for this year. The relationship with them is more important than airing your intent for the year, and may take longer.
-
Another person would have to check over everything done in the last year and make sure it was correct and worth doing before making any changes at all in this new year fearing the possibility for error before adding any new tasks at all.

If we only do what we’ve always done, we’ll get what we’ve always had.
To get what we want we must develop the discipline to create the structure by really knowing what’s important, setting goals and meeting the new normal at the end of the year.
Prayer:
Thank You God for all you have done through the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. “You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something; Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.”
So Father God take me through this next year. Thy will be done in me in all that I encounter and attempt to do. Show me Your Face Please God. Amen.
